Activity 2
The reading was an informative one. I’ve learnt
about the differences in perception and attitudes towards ICT. It really has to do with you as an individual
and your ability to comprehend and develop skills in the implementation of ICT.
It was establish that positive attitudes towards ICT
depended on the history of the teacher and their experiences of ICT training in
school, this statement I totally agree with since I was under the impression
that the older teachers feared technology and left it for the younger teacher
who they think would manipulate the ICT devices better than themselves. This is
very far from the truth since no one is too old to learn. Once
the right mechanisms are in place to help facilitate the entire process both
young and old teacher would be on board.
